Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) is an international upstream company engaged in exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas outside the State of Kuwait. KUFPEC Australia is a subsidiary of KUFPEC engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas activities in Australia mainly through non-operated interests in joint ventures, such as the Wheatstone project.

About the role

Are you an experienced Process Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the oil and gas industry? Look no further We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. As a Process Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our oil and gas projects are technically and financially successful, with a focus on safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability, which are at the forefront of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice during exploration and development programs
  • Evaluate and collaborate with oil and gas operators on front-end engineering design for new processing plants and facilities
  • Evaluate work programs and budgets, ensuring alignment with our goals
  • Carry out technical assessment and report to management on our joint venture operations, including upgrade projects, production, emissions management, and process safety
  • Represent the company in joint venture partner meetings
  • Liaise with the Head Office on engineering matters.

What we are looking for in a candidate

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Process, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.

Experience: You’ll need at least 8 years of broad-ranging experience in upstream oil and gas. Your background should include skills in field development planning, project management, and operations.

Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with relevant software applications.

Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills are essential. You’ll be responsible for evaluating complex data and making informed decisions.

Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills are crucial. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, interact with joint venture partners, and provide clear technical advice.

Interpersonal Skills: Your ability to work well with others is vital. You’ll coordinate in-house or consultant studies, engage in discussions, and foster positive relationships.

Adaptability: Given the dynamic environment, you should thrive in responding to diverse demands and frequently changing priorities and have an innate ability to work independently and prioritise.
