    The Role
    Based in Orbost on the beautiful coastline of the Gippsland region, we are seeking to engage a Maintenance Planner. The Orbost based plant processes natural gas extracted from our offshore Sole gas field. The Plant connects to the Eastern Gas Pipeline, which transports gas into the New South Wales or Victoria markets.

    Reporting to the Team Leader - Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, your main responsibilities will include:
     
  • Provide mechanical expertise and planning support to site
  • Support all maintenance activities on site for planned preventative maintenance
  • Prioritise and support timely execution of safety critical PMs on site
  • Procure materials for maintenance activities following Cooper Energy procurement processes
  • Ensure all planned maintenance is executed as per the agreed Equipment Strategies, including managing any planned Shutdown windows
  • Report new hazards, incident, near misses and dangerous occurrences
  • Engage with contractors to efficiently execute maintenance activities
  • Assist with the maintenance strategy 
  • Ensure efficient use of all resources required to support planned maintenance execution
  • Participate in HSEC meetings and awareness training.
Desired Skills and Experience

About You

We are seeking candidates with previous experience in maintenance planning within heavy industry.

Other key attributes include:

  • Previous maintenance planning experience
  • Demonstrated safety leadership
  • Ability to deliver 2 week execution schedule
  • Ability to work independently toward a required outcome
  • Strong CMMS experience
  • Ability to undertake work activities with reasonable care
