Arrow Energy (“Arrow”) is an integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company, which develops gas fields, produces, and sells CSG, and generates electricity. We have safely and sustainably developed CSG since 2000 and supplied it commercially since 2004 – for both industrial use and power generation in Queensland, and for power generation in the east coast gas market.

Today, Arrow owns and operates Braemar 2, a 450-megawatt gas-fired power station south-west of Dalby and is developing the Surat Gas Project in western Queensland. Sanctioned in 2020, the Surat Gas Project’s first phase comprises more than 600 coal seam gas wells and will bring 5 trillion cubic feet of gas to market over 27 years.

To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Team Lead Access Agreements to join our team.
The Role: Reporting to the Access & Approvals Manager, the purpose of the role is to lead the Access Agreements team to:
- Ensure that Landholder and occupier Agreements,
- Road authority holders, easement holders and thirty party infrastructure crossing agreements
- And other land access approvals as may be required are in place to enable Arrow's access to land.
The role will also be responsible for the provision of advice on legislative requirements, policies and strategies relating to land access to ensure all aspects of land access agreements and consents are obtained within the required timeframes, in line with regulatory obligations and within the Access and Approvals framework.
This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.
In addition, you will
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety, and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Lead the strategy for negotiating Access Agreements through the establishment of systems and tools to achieve the required Conduct and Compensation Agreements (CCAs) and other agreements or notices.
- Plan, prepare and lead the development of negotiation strategies to ensure access to land by providing technical assistance and direction to the Access and Crossing Advisors through the establishment and management of key information required to obtain agreements such as the technical requirements and schedule review.
- Plan, prepare, integrate, facilitate maintaining a high standard of contract compliance, including input to databases to ensure appropriate contract management by adopting and promoting Legal LEAN philosophy on contract production and delivery methods.
- Lead, facilitate and secure the strategy and engagements with third parties required to obtain access agreements through the establishment and management of the negotiation process and all key interactions with third parties.
- Prepare, liaise, monitor, and coordinate with relevant internal staff e.g. Legal, Tax, Treasury, Risk & Insurance, Environment as required to support the delivery of relevant land access work tasks.
About You
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Professional qualifications in Law, Business, Economics or Agriculture.
- Proven leadership of a multidisciplinary team.
- Negotiation.
- CSG industry experience is desirable.
