What you'll do

This role will see you responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
  • Platform Engineering: Develop and maintain platform solutions to support development, deployment, and operations.
  • Containerization: Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security best practices using tools like Synk and Orca.
  • Database Management: Administer and optimise MongoDB databases to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Automation: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and other tools.
  • Monitoring and Incident Management: Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems. Respond to incidents and participate in root cause analysis.

What will I bring?

You'll have a strong background as a Site Reliability Engineer in an Azure ennironment combined with strong platform engineering skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with Synk, Orca, Kubernetes, and MongoDB, and will be comfortable participating in on-call rosters during weekdays and weekends.

  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with Azure and preferably GCP, including architecture, deployment, and management.
  • Platform Engineering: Proven expertise in platform engineering, including automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Containerization: Strong experience with Kubernetes, including deployment and management of clusters.
  • Security Tools: Experience with Synk, Orca & Azure Defender for security and compliance.
  • Databases: Hands-on experience with MongoDB administration and optimization.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar.
