Tunnelling Solutions has been awarded a contract with the Gamuda Australia and Laing O'Rourke Consortium (GLC) to assist in the delivery of the Mined Tunnel works on the Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package Project.

The Tunnelling Solutions team will construct a large portion of the mined tunnelling sections including shafts, caverns, station boxes, plus twin 750m long spur tunnels.

To support the delivery of the project, we are seeking an experienced FRP Supervisor to join our team. The role is required for immediate start and candidates must be flexible with nightshift work.

Job Duties

• Ideally, previous experience working for a Contractor on a major project
• Proven experience in successfully delivering FRP work packages
• Excellent awareness of, and attitude toward Safety
• Exceptional Team Leadership skills
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions and design specifications for the project
• Ensure shift reports are accurate and reflect daily production
• Produce site reports, schedules and rosters
• Able to build positive relationships with clients, project team, management, suppliers and subcontractors
• Previous experience with budget control and site delivery management
• Self-motivated
• Computer literacy on MS systems & Outlook
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Engineering team
• Ensuring all HSEQ procedures are adhered to across the scope of works

Requirements

• 2-5 years in a similar leadership role
• Certificate III in Civil & Construction or Certificate IV in Civil & Construction (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate as part of a supportive, high-performing team.
• Ability to work shift work
• Understanding of OHS compliance and legislation.
