At Novon - Data is Beautiful. We are currently looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our team and support us in delivering projects that align to our focus areas of Data Advisory, Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Science and Analytics, Data Migration and Data Integration

As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and coaching our engineering team, ensuring they are equipped with the best practices and skills necessary for success. You will be responsible for leading the technical direction of projects, implementing robust solutions, and
fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Leadership: Set technical direction for the team, ensuring the adoption of best practices and high standards in software development.
• Mentorship and Coaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and solutions.
• Innovation: Encourage innovation and experimentation within the team, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Code Quality: Ensure code quality at enterprise grade through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.

Key Technical Skills:
• Azure: Expertise in using Azure services for deployment, scaling, and management of applications.
• Python & PowerShell: Strong proficiency in Python & PowerShell for backend development.
• .Net/Java/C#: Strong proficiency is .Net, Java, C# or similar
• React/Angular: Exposure to React, Angular or similar for frontend development.
• SQL: Experience with SQL databases and writing efficient queries.
• Automation: Knowledge of automation tools, processes and practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
• API Integration: Proficiency in designing and integrating APIs.
• CI/CD: Experience in Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo or similar.
• Snowflake: Exposure to snowflake is a plus.

Soft Skills and Personality:
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a strong emphasis on team success.
• Empathy: Ability to understand and relate to the challenges faced by team members, providing supportive and constructive feedback.
 
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in full stack development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in Azure, Python, SDLC or similar are a plus
