NES Fircroft are working with a Leading Utilities provider within Government Resources seeking an Project Administrator to join their team.
 
Position Title : Business Unit Coordinator (Administration Support)
Start Date: June 2024
End Date: August 2024 (Potential of extension or a permanent position)
Hours per week: 38
Location:  Leederville
Department: Information Technology
Pay Rate / Level of Experience: 3 + years experience in a similar position

Position Purpose:

Perform, coordinate, and oversee all Business Unit administrative duties while providing high level support to the Business Unit Manager and Lead Team in an efficient and timely manner without the need for constant or direct supervision.     

Accountabilities:

  • Proactively coordinate and perform administration support across the Business Unit including but not limited to the organisation of correspondence, ministerial related activities, lead team scheduling and diary management.
  • Support Management in the recruitment and selection of all administration functional roles within the Business Unit.
  • Guide and influence administration activities within the Business Unit, involving delegation of work to other administration roles and providing input into performance agreements.
  • Lead and develop the administration function in the Business Unit and ensure knowledge sharing of Corporate and Group requirements is communicated accordingly.
  • Liaise and coordinate information with external and internal key Business Unit stakeholders and committees as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Substantial support and administrative experience in a similar role within a large state-wide multifunctional organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of the procedures and protocols for Board, Executive and other Committee Meeting Papers
  • Meet the Core & Technical requirements as detailed within the competency profile matrix.
  • Understanding of IT Equipment and Systems

  • Applications and systems - Utilises corporate systems, relevant software, and technology to achieve outcomes efficiently and effectively.
  • Procurement and expense management for work area - Administers procurement and expense management system for the work area, making and monitoring purchases, reconciling expenses, and allocating costs for efficient office functioning.
  • Administrative functions and support activities - Provides administrative and support services to work area to ensure effective and efficient administrative functioning.Scheduling and Diary Management - Applies skills to manage and structure schedules and calendars, and to plan travel movement for work area.
