Linkforce is a leading integrated maintenance, engineering, and project services delivery business. Founded in 2007, Linkforce started with a small crew of shutdown specialists and a single utility operating in the Pilbara. Our group has now grown to an operational workforce of over 2,800 personnel with an extensive fleet of modern vehicles and equipment that operate nationwide.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Project Accountant to join our Projects team. Based at our new CBD head office, this position is offered on permanent full time basis.
THE ROLE
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in generating budget estimates for new projects
- Set up awarded projects in accounting system
- Preparation of internal and client invoicing and supporting documentation
- Identification, creation, and processing of intercompany transactions
- Input client variations and maintain current contract value and budgets
- Review of requisitions and commitments for compliance to project cost coding
- Prepare consolidated project invoicing forecasts for finance
- Assist in preparation of monthly and yearly financial reporting
- Closeout projects upon completion
- Assist with office and site timekeeping systems and reporting
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in finance/accounting or related discipline
- Post-graduate experience in a project accountant or similar role
- Understanding and application of project accounting principles
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines
- High levels of computer literacy including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems like Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite
- Active participation in departmental goals, objectives, and projects
- Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable
