Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning 200 years. Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary. Our pedagogy is based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom through a collaborative approach in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Team-Teaching.

Parramatta Marist High School is looking for an experienced English Advanced HSC teacher who can mark practice HSC papers in early Term 4 for Year 12 2024 (and potentially for next year as well, Term 3 2025) in English Advanced. Markers are expected to provide detailed and general feedback to students. Markers must be accredited with the Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta.

The Organisation

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.

CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
