The project manager is responsible for the organisation, planning and execution of each project assigned. This role demands a high level of multi tasking and interaction between internal and external stakeholders, attention to detail and planning ahead will prove to be key in performing in this role. At Mansour Paving Australia a project manager is the link between the company and its client, essentially building and maintaining relationships to secure repeat work.

As an Estimator you are responsible for the tendering of projects including quantity take-offs, pricing and tender contract negotiations. This role involves extensive analysis of design documents such as drawings, specifications, reports and standards to ensure all scope items are captured and the extent is understood. An estimator must be able to source competitive pricing from suppliers and subbies in order to maintain a competitive advantage when submitting any tenders, the estimator must be able to scrutinise quotes and documents to highlight any potential future issues.

The site supervisor is responsible for day to day management of construction processes and resource management. This role requires direct liaison and communication with the project manager to delivery a project effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities such as material orders, resource delegation a

nd level set outs are generally required on a daily basis. Driving to and fro between sites occurs daily to monitor quality and safety of the project and enforce company policies.

• Use of Laser/Dump/Spirit Level
• Basic Construction Knowledge (Paving & Civil Works Sector)

A skilled tradesman undertaking this role will work onsite on a full time basis and lead the designated team in construction of the current project assigned. The tradesman is responsible for the performance of their team and ensure set daily benchmarks are met and tasks are completed. All materials required to complete the project must be notified to the site supervisor and/or project manager. Daily enforcement of quality and safety procedures including pre start documentation is the responsibility of the team leader.

• Sound Understanding of Levels and Grades
• Good Knowledge and Skill in Paving, Concreting, Form Working, Machine Operating and/or Tiling

• Industry Induction Card (White Card)
• Skilled Tickets, Certificates and/or Licenses

Part of the new development program the cadet will undertake a number of various roles in order to self develop and evolve into a preferred role. The rotation occurs between 3 roles, Project Management, Estimating and Site Supervision, the rotation happens upon completion of the requirements for each role by the cadet. A cadet will shadow a senior operating in this role in order to best develop and learn whilst completing task assigned.
