SAP Functional Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the SAP Functional team within the Centre of Excellence, focusing on business-as-usual activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all SAP functional-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into functional specifications for SAP enhancements and configurations.
  • Perform system configuration, testing, and validation for SAP modules such as SAP IS-U, FICO, MM, SD, and PM, ensuring alignment with business processes.
  • Provide expert guidance and support for SAP-related projects, including system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
  • Conduct regular system audits and health checks to ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Stay current with SAP best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP modules relevant to the utilities industry, particularly SAP IS-U.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and supporting SAP BAU activities in a complex organizational environment.
