Job Description

This role of the APS6 Finance Officer - Systems has been adapted to respond to the changing needs of the Office, with respect to the recent implementation of a new Financial Management Information System, TechnologyOne.

  • To maintain and improve the FMIS to ensure financial information is accurate, timely and reliable.
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance, upgrades and business-as-usual requirements of TechnologyOne
  • Develop and maintain financial models, tools, analytics and reporting to support the Office
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports
  • Provide support to the Finance team and the Office in the use of the system
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, implement changes as necessary
  • Represent the Office in various forums as a TechnologyOne user
  • Engaging as an enthusiastic and active member of the Finance team and Office, including participating in volunteering and other activities and taking the initiative to contribute ideas for improvements to processes to improve outcomes or deliver efficiencies.


As a member of a small team, there is a requirement to support during periods of leave or peak workload periods on miscellaneous tasks

The Successful Applicant

The successful APS6 Finance Officer - Systems will ideally have:-

  • CA or CPA or substantial progress towards membership.
  • Highly experienced with Technology One
  • Extensive experience in financial systems and process improvement
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with complex financial models and data analysis
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adopt a helpful and confident approach when dealing with the concerns of staff at all levels within the Office
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Capacity to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a member of a small team to meet the team's objectives.
