This position with the Bunbury Farmers Market group, is multi-faceted, combining a strong retail business with food production and a commercial property portfolio.

The Role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our senior management team in our head office in Bunbury.

This role would suit an excellent communicator who is keen to drive improvement and add value through providing easy to interpret reports, data insight and analysis that ensures sound decision making.

Your role will be broad and varied and will provide you with excellent exposure across the business, including regular interaction with both finance and retail team members. Drawing on your accounting background you will be trained to take on a range of activities focused on facilitating a consistent approach to financial management and reporting across the Group operations. 

Reporting to the CEO, you will focus on ensuring disciplined financial management practices are maintained while supporting the daily activities of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekly management reporting, focussed on retail performance.
• Monthly financial reporting, including appropriate reconciliations, fixed asset movements, general ledger maintenance, financial analysis, and commentary.
• Month End closing, including preparing and posting journals. 
• Preparation and ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Cash flow reporting and forecasting,
• Managing the external and internal audit process. 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Management Accounting role
• Degree in Business or Commerce with an Accounting major.
• High computer literacy including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A background in supporting projects & personnel across multiple locations, and from multiple disciplines across the business.
