Patient Flow Program and Nursing Resource Unit, Princess Alexandra Hospital are looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing – Patient Flow Program and Nursing Resource Flow to join their team. The Patient Flow Program (PFP) and Nursing Resource Unit (NRU) provides support to clinicians across the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) with patient flow strategies and technology. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the Patient Flow Program, Patient Flow Unit, Transit Care Hub, Interim Access Centre, After-hours Nursing Service and Nursing Resource Unit - permanent and casual pool staff service/s/division within an expansive and/or complex environment.

About the Role
- Responsible for safe, compassionate care, integrating the Nursing and Midwifery Services which may include Professional Practice Model, quality frameworks Magnet and Person-Centred Care approaches of caring for each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical care needs to achieve best clinical practice and individualised person-centred care and outcomes.
- Responsible for the achievement of operational and strategic performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.
- Collaborate and engage with nursing executive, internal and external stakeholders, committees and advisory groups to support operational and strategic functions of MSH.
- Responsible for the maintenance of system wide mechanisms to monitor, analyse and report on nursing innovative practice, models of care, performance and productivity gains including fiscal outcomes.
- Lead education strategies which facilitates capability and capacity development of nursing and other teams through a workforce development framework that promotes continuing education.
- Lead development of a vision and strategy for a work-based culture that promotes education initiatives and life-long learning.
- Lead and/or promote and engage in evidence-based nursing quality/research projects within the health facility/service.
- Lead, advise and influence, demonstrating integrity, transparency and accountability at operational, professional, policy, research and training levels.
- Provide transformational leadership empowering and mentoring all nursing and health care teams.
- Lead, motivate and engage staff/teams to embrace quality improvements and change as required.
