Padua College is an independent Catholic Boys' Day School from Years 5-12 conducted by the Franciscan Friars with an enrolment of over 1500 boys.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic learning community and help lead Padua College's vision for the future by employing a passionate, experienced and suitably qualified candidate in the position of Vice Rector Mission and Identity (Assistant Principal). 

The successful candidate will be an inspirational and innovative Leader who will be part of the College Senior Leadership team and who is committed to making a significant contribution to the development of our community and in the lives of the students in our care.

More broadly, the Vice Rector Mission and Identity leads the goals of the College Strategic Plan and the Annual Action Plan to pursue enhanced outcomes for all members of the College Community working collaboratively and proactively with all members of the SLT to collectively deliver on the College strategic priorities.

The Key Responsibility Areas for this role are:

• Formation
• Religious life of the College
• Catholic Identity
• Franciscan Charism
• Outreach and Social Justice

This position will commence in January 2025. This position requires an energetic and passionate leader who is contemporary in their thinking and a collaborative team player across all areas of College life.

The successful applicant will be:

• a practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of the purpose and mission of Catholic schools.
• an experienced senior leader looking to step into an executive leadership role in a large, high-performing Catholic school.
• accustomed to 'thinking outside the square' while creating systems and processes that support the efficient delivery of education services to the College.
• experienced in implementing and leading College-wide community engagement.
• most importantly they are an intuitive and insightful leader of people, who realizes that the development of a collaborative, high trust culture sits at the heart of school leadership 

It is expected that the successful applicant be suitably qualified and have:

• Current Queensland Teacher Registration (or capacity to obtain)
• Demonstrated achievement in school leadership
• Masters or equivalent
