Your new role

As a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of services within a State Government Department.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the processes related to the Departments strategic needs by drafting project briefs, correspondence and reports.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent reporting practices.
  • Demonstrate effective assessment and advisory skills regarding strategic policy implications, accuracy, and quality.
  • Provide advice on strategic policy, submissions, briefings and other documentation.
  • Analysing complex inter-government and inter-agency policy and liaison matters.
  • Oversee, assess and evaluate the implementation of reporting and communication.
  • Leadership and coordination of corporate governance functions, including reporting, financial management and risk management.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for these roles, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant experience within Policy and or Project Management.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication.
  • The ability to interpret legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A current Working with Children's Check
