As part of our expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to the continued success of our organization. An exciting opportunity awaits you, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Group Finance function including both Financial Control and FP&A team. We’re seeking an enthusiastic individual who enjoys taking an active role in overseeing financial activities to ensure precision and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Furthermore, you will offer strategic support for process improvement, fortifying internal controls to enhance the robustness of our financial operations.
Please note this role is a 12 month fixed term contract.
What you’ll be doing…
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including the recording and verification of financial transactions, posting journal entries, and maintaining general ledger for assigned areas incl. Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, Cash etc.
Conduct monthly and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide meaningful insights for management decision-making.
Reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies promptly
Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary assistance as require
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies & procedures.
Work alongside the FP&A team and supporting the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for corporate cost centres, such as M&O, Internal IT and Finance to name a few
Identify areas for process improvements and actively participate in initiatives to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
Support Finance Manager / Financial Controller on ad-hoc areas of operational needs
Provide support and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
To be successful in the role,
- 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
