My client is a privately owned engineering consultancy firm who specialize in the electrical control and automation space. They have been in operation for a number of years and have a growing account base of tier 1 clients including the likes of Transport NSW, Sydney Water, QLD Roads, Boral, John Holland, UGL and Veolia to name a few

They are currently on the hunt for a BDM / Sales Manager to head up their sales function across the business. This role would involve the following:

  • Manage and grow the current client portfolio - look for new projects and scope to grow wallet share across enterprise businesses.
  • Strategically hunt for new business wins - cold call, leverage referrals and win new work and revenue. 
  • Manage two direct reports - sales admin and contract specialise who will support you with client delivery and tenders. 
  • Put plans in place to grow revenue and ultimately the sales team

The ideal profile will have the following:
  • A technical / engineering background - electrical preferred
  • A hunter mindset and the want to leverage networks and grow revenue
  • The ability to work autonomously, show initiative and back yourself
  • Have a high resilient personality and love hunting
