An exciting opportunity has become available for you to join an SA icon and provide professional assistance to our members, who rely on us to help them make informed decisions about their vehicles, particularly when buying a car. We are seeking a personable individual who will utilize their extensive knowledge and experience by providing best practice vehicle inspections. If you have 5 years mechanical post apprenticeship experience, you will receive extensive training and upskilling to be able to be successful in your role. In addition, you will:

  • Conducting workshop and on-site vehicle inspections
  • Performing fault finding and diagnosis on a wide range of vehicles
  • Completing technical reporting for inspected vehicles
  • Delivering an exceptional and professional service to internal and external customers by identifying, responding to, and satisfying needs
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge relating to Government legislation, RAA Policies and Procedures, Motor Vehicles, Mobility Scooters, and other products associated with the role
  • Undertake Road Service Patrol duties, comply with all requirements of the Road Service Patrol position.

Your excellent and effective communication skills together with your high level of customer service focus and capability will see you succeed in this role, as will your amazing teamwork skills and proactive nature. At RAA we hire on cultural fit first and technical fit second, however, to be successful in these roles you will need:

  • Minimum trade level Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Mandatory)
  • A minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship workshop experience
  • Automotive industry background with a track record of exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of vehicle operation, components, and current-day diagnostic practices with a variety of makes & models of vehicles
  • Current ‘Class C’ drivers licence essential
  • Must be physically able to work in all environments, have excellent time management skills, take pride in your work and presentation, and have an eye for detail to help others
