Afternoon Nanny – Crows Nest- ref LLC181

A professional and loving family in Crows Nest, NSW are seeking a calm and reliable nanny to assist with the household and care for their children (5 and 2 years).

An ideal nanny will be kind, calm, nurturing and empathetic.

You will need to be active, energetic and able to work with the children’s routines and have organisational skills to manage the busy afternoons with experience supporting children to manage afternoon activities and homework.

Reliability, flexibility and communication skills are also valued.

The role will mostly consist of arriving at the home to complete light household tasks, pick up the children from school, take to activities, engage with, have a break and then work on homework, dinner /evening routines and assist where needed around the home.

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

• To supervise the children
• Follow the children’s routine
• Pick up from school/preschool (Walking distance)
• Pick up or take to after school activities (Walking distance)
• Light household duties – ie – packing/unpacking dishwasher, basic vacuum.
• Laundry Grocery Shop (Basic shop)
• Assist with homework
• Help prepare a family meal occasionally

Contract: Permanent/long term

Pay: From $35-40 depending on experience 

The days and normal hours are –3 Afternoons per week -12 hours per week

Monday to Wednesday 3pm -7pm

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

• Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny or childcare experience
• Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
• Have a current working with children’s check number
• Display strong communication skills and speak good english
• Basic cooking skills
