Job Description
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant will guarantee Perth's future water needs for generations to come.
To reduce our dependence on rainfall and groundwater and support the growing population, Water Corporation has formed the Alkimos SeaWater Alliance, which includes ACCIONA Construction Australia, ACCIONA Agua and Jacobs.
The Alliance will design, construct, operate and maintain the Plant which will produce 50 billion litres of drinking water per year, with provision to expand by an additional 50 billion litres per year in the future. Construction of the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant has recently commenced and the project is expected to be completed in 2029.
The Alliance is seeking an HR Advisor with project delivery experience to provide generalist HR services to the project.
Key accountabilities for the position:
- Generalist HR customer service across onboarding, workforce planning, performance and development, rem and ben and the implementation of social initiatives.
- Interpret, implement and provide advice on all HR matters, company policies, processes, and benefits.
- Work closely with the Commercial team and subcontractors to ensure key Social Inclusion, IR and Training initiatives are successfully implemented.
- Constantly explore and pursue opportunities to improve efficiency and automation through embracing software and applications.
- Collaboration with the wider HR teams and key stakeholders to ensure high quality and efficient delivery of HR customer service.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience providing generalist HR support in a construction project environment.
- A dedication to providing proactive and high-quality HR advice that enables our teams to deliver on their objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to maintain effective communication at all levels of the project and organisation.
- High energy and strong work ethic.
- Experience in using software and applications to automate systems and process is highly desirable.
