Job Description

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. RECRUITMENT, ONBOARDING AND PROBATION

  • Advise staff on ORIMA recruitment and onboarding/probation process, and ensure recruitment and onboarding/probation processes are followed within ELMO (ORIMA’s HRIS)
  • Develop position descriptions / job ads with Team Managers
  • Promote and advertise vacancies (including working with established recruiters/ recruitment agencies)
  • Conduct all aspects of recruitment process ensuring an excellent experience for candidates (e.g. develop interview questions and assign skills testing tasks, work with team leaders to screen applicants, schedule interviews, follow up with/ support candidates including if unsuccessful)
  • As appropriate (depending on role and level), participate in interviews
  • Support People Performance Manager as required after selection decision including letter of offer/ issuing of contract, commencing onboarding process in ELMO, and issuing letter of permanency when advised by People Performance Manager
  • Implement process improvements as discussed with COO, including updates in ELMO

2. PERFORMANCE REVIEWS

  • Advise staff on ORIMA performance review intent and process as required
  • Ensure performance review processes are appropriately issued/ set up in ELMO, and follow up staff or managers overdue (all aspects of performance cycle)
  • Support People Performance Manager with exit interview process and documentation, if/as requested
  • Collate performance information/ material for Directors

3. PROCESS / SYSTEMS REFINEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT, IN CONSULTATION WITH COO

  • Improve ELMO recruitment processes and candidate experience, including marketing activities
  • Review all position descriptions and standardise them
  • Improve performance review and other HR processes
  • Action other process/ systems refinement as identified

4. OTHER

  • Support change management with process revisions as requested, including supporting staff communication
  • Support WHS activities and obligations as required (including Worker’s Compensation)
  • Support People Performance Manager with all administration related to ORIMA’s intern program and Graduate Program as requested
  • Understand and support ORIMA’s HR compliance-related and obligations, including advising COO as requested
  • Work with ORIMA payroll as required
  • Participate in ORIMA’s Compliance Committee meetings and ISO audits as requested
  • Support Directors in various HR-related activities as requested
  • Ensure staff personnel files and HR metrics are up to date
Desired Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

  • Experience working in professional services/ consulting sector or similar setting highly desirable.
  • Experience working in recruitment and ‘hands on’ with candidates.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to partner and consult with senior management to align processes to business needs.
  • Highly regarded: experience with ELMO or similar customisable HRIS
  • Understanding of HR, employment law, WHS and other relevant topics is beneficial.
