About the role

We have a full time permanent role as a Service Manager– Client Services to lead teams across accommodation in the Point Cook Area, Victoria. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations as well as building a culture of customer-centricity.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for;

  • Coaching and developing your team,
  • Providing advice and continually monitoring all aspects of clients care including care and funding plans, medication and behavior support, restrictive practices and incident reporting,
  • Cultivating and growing close family and carer relationships,
  • Building of robust 24/7 roster across services,
  • Ensure all compliance measures are being met,
  • Manage and co-ordinate all site administrative processes and assets,
  • Invoicing and administration for NDIS clients,
  • Budget management,
  • Provide support to the Regional Lead for your region.

About you

This role would suit someone who thrives on challenge and is ultimately looking to grow their management career. This role reports into a supportive Regional Lead who is interested in building a succession plan and developing your potential to its fullest.

In addition to this we see you as having;

  • Recent successful experience providing high quality services to clients with complex care needs,
  • Recent experience in successfully developing and building teams to deliver high quality and client-centric services,
  • Highly effective and empathetic communication skills as you will be communicating with your team, client families and a large group of stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement Individual Lifestyle Plans
  • Ability to multi task, meet deadlines and to work effectively under pressure

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for support worker roles at Afford:

  • Certificate III qualification in Individual Support obtained by an accredited VET as a minimum.
  • A current First Aid and CPR training accreditation (or for candidates to be willing to obtain this qualification).

The following clearance and checks must be completed before you work at Afford, and there are key duties you must perform as part of this role.

  • You must have a current, unrestricted Australian drivers’ licence. We cannot accept international drivers’ licence.
  • You must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check.
  • You must be willing to drive clients in vans, which will be provided by Afford.
