What you’ll be doing

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead and System engineer with the ability to work in a demanding environment with an enthusiastic sense of customer support, you will need to communicate and coordinate with clients as well as other technology groups in a complex and highly governed environment.

The role will involve:  

  • Provide Technical leadership for the team.
  • Delivery of technical support for the client/server environment
  • Ensure timely resolution of teams tickets against SLA 
  • Ensure backups and disaster recovery meet requirements
  • Ensure Patching and upgrades meet the clients requirements against the contracted SLA's
  • Liaise with service providers to investigate and resolve issues with supported infrastructure and applications
  • Mentoring of staff and enabling them to succeed.

• Based in Symonston, ACT

• Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance

What will make you successful in this role? 

  • Ability to communicate often complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Experience support Windows Server including DNS, AD, Group Policy, Print Management, File Services, DHCP
  • Experience in RedHat\Linux systems
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare
  • Experience with enterprise storage such as NetApp.
  • Experience with Data protection technologies such as Veeam, Commvault
  • Experience with patching Windows systems via MECM
  • Understanding of Azure\AWS and cloud concepts
  • PowerShell Scripting for automation
  • Ability to mentor staff
  • Highly Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), VM Ware Certified Professional (VCP))
