Exciting Permanent Full-Time Opportunity based in Brisbane
Reporting to the Business Manager. Your role will be responsible for providing timely and accurate business support to a diverse client base. Business Support Officers also assist Management in ensuring correct processes are followed in compliance with policy and legislation. Business Support Officers provide a quality assurance that assists in Manager's decision making.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Proven experience, skills and knowledge of departmental budgetary and human resource processes and reporting requirements and the ability to extract, collate and interpret information and to prepare and present statistical and financial reports using the data.
- Ability to resolve problems and work autonomously to achieve organisational goals.
- Highly developed interpersonal, consultation and other communication skills, particularly tact, discretion, sensitivity, confidentiality and an ability to communicate and work with senior management and staff alike.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as workplace health & safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination with the ability to provide leadership, direction and advice within the team environment.

The Business Services Branch works in collaboration with each division within the Department of Health to provide expert human resource, financial and procurement advice. The branch delivers timely, customer-focused administrative support enabling divisions to meet strategic and operational priorities.
The Corporate Services Division provides support services necessary for Queensland Health to function effectively and deliver essential health services. The Division is responsible for major corporate functions including financial, legal and human resources services, information management services and overseeing key governance functions such as risk, audit and compliance.
The Division is committed to being ‘partners in health service efficiency and quality'. Our aim is to provide multi-dimensional successful partnerships that foster linkages to strengthen relationships in the delivery of our services.
