Lake Joondalup Baptist College is an independent PK-12 Christian school serving nearly 1400 students, with a dedicated staff of over 250. Reporting to the Associate Principal – Head of Secondary, and supported by a high-calibre Leadership Team, this position will be responsible for leading LJBC by:
- playing a pivotal role in creating a positive learning environment, supporting student growth, leading and developing the capacity of the Senior Secondary heads of house/year, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and students to support the holistic needs of each young person.
- collaborating with the Secondary leadership team to allocate resources effectively to support the implementation of the strategic priorities in the Senior Secondary School.
- creating a positive learning environment and supporting student growth.
- implementing effective frameworks to secure and incorporate student and staff feedback and foster innovation.
- collaborating with parents, teachers, secondary leadership team to create a positive and supportive school culture where students’ relationships with one another and with staff can flourish.
- championing a commitment to caring for and promoting the holistic development of every student across the Senior Secondary school.
- facilitating programs that instil confidence and self-belief in students to discover and confidently express their unique God given gifts.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced senior educators. The successful applicant will have a heart for Christian education, share the ethos of LJBC and can demonstrate that they:
- hold relevant qualifications eg relevant bachelor's degree in education, with a focus on secondary education. A postgraduate qualification such as a master’s degree in education or educational leadership preferred.
- have extensive teaching experience in Secondary education.
- possess substantial experience in leadership roles within education.
- hold TRBWA accreditation
- manage staff performance well with support from HR; and
- lead and communicate well.
