Job Description

At the GCCEC, we are looking to grow our team of casual Event Assistants. We provide a great training ground for people looking to get into the hospitality industry. Our high standards mean you'll get the best training possible. You'll be empowered to serve our guests with the highest level of customer service, and our deadline driven work means you'll learn to work with urgency to make sure the 'show goes on'

Our casual Event Assistants perform a variety of fun hospitality work whilst working with an amazing and supportive team. 

Our events can range from small private meetings to very large gala dinners, exhibitions, product sales, concerts and sporting events. There is plenty of scope to shape a fantastic hospitality career, starting with this opportunity

About the role: 

Some of the tasks you could be involved in as an Event Assistant include:

  • food and beverage service
  • barista, and 
  • ushering

Regardless of the specific role you are assigned to for each event you will be actively involved in delivering a memorable experience for our clients.

About you: 

We provide full training, so what matters most is your passion for connecting with customers and helping people. 

  • have a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • be impeccably presented
  • be engaging, energetic and friendly
  • be available to work a variety of shifts between Monday to Sunday, days and nights.

  • Group Interviews will take place at GCCEC on Tuesday 2 nd July 2024 
  • Compulsory Welcome and Training Day attendance is required on Wednesday 10 th July 2024
