Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Motion Recruitment has partnered with an iconic Aussie brand who is in need of a contract Senior BI Developer. The role will be a 12 month contract to start off with high possibility of contract extension.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for data modelling and SQL, experience working in a dynamic team environment using Teradata and a strong grasp of customer data.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data models (3NF, Data Vault, Dimensional Star Schemas)
  • Perform complex SQL queries, including window aggregate functions, moving window functions, and time-based/spatial analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights
  • Utilize BI tools to create and manage reports and dashboards
  • Use CRM data to enhance customer insights
  • Implement CI/CD processes using tools like git and Jenkins

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ Years Experience as a BI Developer or similar role
  • Data Modeling: Proficiency in 3NF, Data Vault, and Dimensional Star Schemas
  • SQL Expertise: Strong skills in Teradata SQL including: Window aggregate functions, Moving window functions and Time-based/spatial analysis
  • BI Tools: Experience with Cognos and/or Tableau is highly desirable
  • Additional Experience: Familiarity with CRM/Membership data and CI/CD tools such as git and Jenkins is preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology ideal.

This role is based in Sydney near the CBD working hybridly. It is a day rate contract at $800.00 inclusive of Super per day. Please note successful candidates must have full working rights in Australia or Australian PR/Citizenship.
