Join a prestigious ASX top 200 Property and Real Estate business in Australia that owns and operates a diverse real estate portfolio, engages in construction and development projects, and manages a significant number of rental properties. 

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Investment Manager, the Senior Valuations Analyst will assist with the delivery of high quality internal and external property and goodwill valuations with the aim of enhancing decision making within the company. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Investment Manager to conduct valuations of all property assets according to appropriate valuation methodologies and internal policies. This includes:
    • Identifying and recommending assets due for independent valuation
    • Research the market to arrive at the most suitable metrics and assumptions around cap rates, discount rates, growth rates, life expectancies and turnover rates etc
    • Manage existing valuation models, update, review and build new models as necessary to reflect best practice
    • Review development feasibilities before being adopted for valuation of development assets
    • Review asset budgets and past performance before arriving at the appropriate assumptions on profit margins, rental rates and occupancy rates
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of information required to complete independent valuations
  • Assist in drafting regular valuation papers to the CFO, CEO, Board Investment Committee and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven property and goodwill valuation experience
  • Ability to apply strategic business acumen to identify value creation opportunities
  • Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Property/Development/Retirement industry experience an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to positively influence across all levels
