MiningCommSteel Pty Ltd are currently recruiting for:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Rigging Supervisor to work in the Perth Metro area and on occasional interstate and regional projects.

The successful applicant must have an extensive commercial structural steel background.

This position will suit an applicant who has high standards and an eye for detail who is looking for a long term future with a young and growing company.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in estimating with man-hour forecasts.
  • Ability to plan and schedule site activities
  • Extensive experience with cranes & rigging with at least 3 years in the commercial industry. 

Responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Managing Director the key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Reading and interpreting Structural Steel drawings & General arrangements for site set-out and installation of Structural Steel and Concrete Tilt up Panels.
  • Assisting Engineers in the preparation of construction programmes and methodologies
  • Assisting estimators with forecasting installation man hours 
  • Leasing with the project leaders for efficient planning of labour and equipment to meet projects deliveries.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project performance
  • Communicating with clients in a effective and respectful manner
  • Leasing with clients to overcome site constraints and issues.
  • Engaging, motivating and supporting crews / sub-contractors

Qualifications / Certificates

Applicants with the below certificates will be viewed favourably or demonstrate that they are willing to obtain.

  • Driver's License “C” Class 
  • White Card
  • HRWL: Rigger - Intermediate to Advanced ( RI )
  • HRWL: EWP over 11m (WP)
  • Working safely at heights certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Steel Fabrication and welding experience would be considered an advantage.
