Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Airworthiness Manager within our Part 42 CAM Organization. Reporting to the CAMO Responsible Manager, this position will also serve as the Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager for NJE, holding CASA Form 4 approval as a Responsible Manager for the NJE CAMO. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, technical services, and technical records teams/functions. This position is based in Adelaide and is a crucial part of the NJE and broader REX Group engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with current and proposed legislation relevant to CASR Part 42 and the CAMO Exposition to maintain fleet and company operations compliance.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions to address CAMO performance and compliance irregularities.
  • Manage the Maintenance Program, including analysis, development, and approval.
  • Supervise the planning functionality within the CAMO to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the Reliability Program, including analysis, development, and approval.
  • Manage the Technical Library and Records department.
  • Report and analyze major defects.
  • Develop continuous airworthiness systems.
  • Oversee outsourced airworthiness processes and systems.
  • Liaise with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to manage Fleet MELs and ensure compliance.
  • Review Aer Maestro reports and provide feedback to the Head of Fleet/CAM regarding actions and status of findings related to Airworthiness.
  • Promote quality and safety throughout the company and encourage cost-effective continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address any problems or deficiencies affecting CAMO quality management.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the CAMO’s exposition.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Fleet/CAM.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of CASA regulations and standards.
  • Understanding of aircraft certification basis.
  • Proficiency in aircraft structures and systems, including propulsion systems.
  • Familiarity with the structure and use of a minimum equipment list (MEL) and configuration deviation list (CDL).
  • Knowledge of relevant sections of the AOC holder’s operations manual with continuing airworthiness implications for aircraft.
  • Previous experience in CAMO Airworthiness Management.
     

Reporting to:

This position reports to the CAMO Responsible Manager.
