About the role

This essential water supply project, delivered through a 50/50 joint venture with partners BMD, includes the construction of a 117-kilometre water pipeline, intake pump station, intermediate pump stations, reservoirs, and a water treatment plant. Designed to deliver 30 gigalitres of water annually, it will ensure long-term water security for the region and support the burgeoning hydrogen industry in Queensland.

Seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee Pressure Testing for the Pipeline This position will work on a 2:1 roster with site uplift applicable.

As the Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Emphasises to all employees and subcontractors the key messaging senior management places on embossing a culture of safe work practices and environmental protection;
• Oversee hydro pressure testing activities on the Pipeline
• Ensuring that hazards are identified, risks assessed, and control measures planned and implemented in consultation with relevant employees;
• Monitor and review the performance of plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure production targets are met or bettered and take appropriate action as necessary;
• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract. 

About you

• Trades qualification relevant to the construction or building industry;
• Experience within any of the following fields: Hydrotesting, Air & Scour Valves, stringing, or trenching.
• Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage groups of diverse employees.
• Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
• Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others
• Have strong commitment to the safety promise of “Home Without Harm” 
• Have valid working rights in Australia
