Position Overview
We are seeking an experience strategic, and process-minded individual to join us as our Head of Finance, reporting to the CEO. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support finance, business planning and budgeting, and logistics. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Finance will work closely with a motivated and engaged executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the complete accounting function 
  • Timely preparation of financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Presentation of financial reports and analysis to the Board/Executive Committee
  • Consolidation of accounts as and when required
  • Preparation and presentation of cashflow and profit forecasts when required
  • Inventory management
  • Liaison with the company’s international offices particularly in relation to finance matters and management
  • Contributing to the company’s strategic planning process working closely with the CEO and the Board

Qualifications And Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with CA or CPA qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience preferably including 5 years of broad financial and operational experience
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a direct team managing work allocation, training, problem resolution and performance evaluation 
  • Confidence with specialised software platforms with advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software, preferably with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics finance platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to prioritise, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Preferable exposure to international accounting and transfer pricing requirements 
  • Preferable exposure to project profitability reporting & internal control systems

Remuneration

  • An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant
  • Assistance with relocation costs within Australia
