What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit are currently seeking a Fleet Allocator to join the team, located in Laverton North VIC. As a part of this role, you will be responsible for load planning, scheduling, allocating loads to drivers and maximising equipment utilisation for metropolitan, intra and interstate geographic territories, data entry and assisting the team where necessary. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available working Monday to Friday, starting from 1:00pm and finishing at 9:00pm. Key areas:

  • Ensure TMS systems are maintained, including reviewing and updating TMS data, geocoding, reviewing driver run sheets and raising questions to our customers regarding potential window changes.
  • Effectively coordinate all day-to-day routing, scheduling and allocating orders for company and subcontractor fleet.
  • Support the implementation of the Linfox safety standards and through consultation and communication with site personnel.
  • Ensure site is compliant with national heavy vehicle legislation (NHVL) and meets transport chain of responsibility.
  • Maintain and foster an effective and cooperative relationship between operational, transport, and administrative personnel within Linfox and the customers.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a transport operations environment
  • A strong understanding of fatigue management, load restraint and mass management.
  • Strong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience using Microsoft and TMS/WMS systems is desired.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures.
