Job Title: Civil Engineer

Reports To: Senior Civil Engineer / Engineering Manager

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Planning:
  • Develop detailed designs and plans for civil engineering projects.
  • Use computer software to create detailed designs and simulations (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage and oversee the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, and clients.
  • Prepare project specifications, budget estimates, and timelines.
  • Site Assessment and Surveying:
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data and monitor progress.
  • Assess environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Recommend appropriate construction materials and methods.
  • Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Ensure all projects comply with government regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure the integrity of the structures.
  • Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, or property and right-of-way descriptions.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Experience with civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS).
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and materials.
  • Proficiency in CAD and other engineering design software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience with sustainable design and green infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering and hydrology.
