The Role

Our client, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Grants Officer to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for;

  • Managing operational and administrative tasks, including assessment of grants stages and progression of applications to reach agreed milestones.
  • Providing quality service to customers via inbound phones calls in response to various contractor, applicant or general public queries regarding the program.
  • Resolving specific customer problems in an efficient and courteous manner including assessing applications for grants, liaising with stakeholders including applicants and contractors.
  • Providing first level escalation and management of queries or complaints, and where relevant, escalate concerns to supervisor/manager.
  • Proactively setting, monitoring and reviewing performance KPI's with staff.
  • Maintaining a high standard of grant management practice through identification of issues, risks and exceptions for review and continuous improvement.
  • Preparing accurate and timely data and reporting to support Ministerial and other requests for information.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to foster productive working relationships to ensure best outcomes for the program and participants.
  • Monitoring finance and invoicing activities.

You

The successful candidate will have demonstrated Senior Grants experience, working in a fast paced environment. You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Senior Grants experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated capacity in driving continuous improvement
  • Ability to approach challenges, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor, coach and implement development opportunities
  • SmartyGrants or similar grant platform experience
  • Previous Government experience is highly desirable
