Working for a multi-national electronics and appliances manufacturer and distributor that has a passion for making life easier for its customers. The firm sells equipment across the full remit of white goods, home and personal electronic devices.

About The Role

You will play a pivotal role in driving cost optimization and operational excellence. This includes developing or utilizing tools and analytics to glean valuable insights for cost management. You'll also be responsible for analysing operational data to ensure transparency in performance. By translating data into actionable recommendations for our operations teams, you'll be instrumental in supporting continuous cost reduction and operational improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • You'll collect, analyse, and verify SCM cost data and performance indicators. This will provide timely insights for management to make informed strategic and operational decisions.
  • By creating operational performance matrices for functional teams, you'll help identify and promote areas for improvement.
  • You'll prepare insightful management reports in formats like Excel and PowerPoint, translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Through 3PL invoice validation and cost simulations, you'll uncover cost reduction opportunities. You'll also ensure accurate 3PL tariffs, postcodes, and zones are maintained in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • You'll monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SCM costs and overall performance.
  • You'll be involved in financial planning activities (moving plans, business plans, cash flow forecasts) and participate in SCM tender processes.
  • You'll contribute to efficient month-end processes and reporting.
  • You'll be a strong communicator, effectively presenting analytical results and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in an analytical finance environment.
  • Intermediate excel skills with experience utilising BI tools
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Confident working with large datasets have experience utilising BI tools to interpret and analyse the data
