EOI - TRAINEESHIP ESTIMATOR

Working closely with female top management, a position can be created to suit a like minded female who has a passion for the construction industry and career progression. We are a medium sized Perth-Metro based commercial builder who specialises in new builds, refurbishments, fit out, associated civil works and rail.

Location: Malaga WA 6090

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. Competitive salary offered and a discretionary bonus. Working hours are flexible for the right candidate. Only applicants with Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship apply.

  2. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. High Level computer skills including Microsoft Suite incl Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF.
  4. High Level literacy and numeracy.
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and manage time to achieve a desired outcome.
  6. Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and professionalism.
  7. Deadline driven with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
  8. Good people skills.
  9. Excellent telephone manner, positive outlook.
  10. High degree of self-organisation.
  11. Own transport.
  12. Work independently.
  13. Reliable and mature.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Working towards a Traineeship or formal qualification in Building & Construction (eg. Cert 4 Estimating, Diploma Building & Construction etc).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  1. Assist/Prepare estimate/quote bid for Director’s final approval.
  2. Prepare tender submissions – includes but limited to: prepare all contracts, documentation, completing qualitative criteria: compiling project experience, formatting CVs, quality, health and safety and other materials for inclusion in the tender package etc and obtain final approval from Management.
  3. Arrange request for quotations, letting of tenders for contracts.
  4. Attend tender site inspections, as required.
  5. Manage the Approved Subcontractor List.
  6. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers during tender process.
  7. Ensure all project information is captured in company database for tender use.
  8. All-rounder administration responsibilities.
  9. Assist site administration - as required.
  10. Assist HSEQ administration– as required.
  11. General reception duties answering the phones, responding to emails, maintaining records, filing, archiving.
  12. Additional administration responsibilities as needed.
