Salary: $96,000 to $111,000 + Super + Salary Packaging

About the Role

We are seeking an individual with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to work with our supportive and dedicated team to provide a professional service for our clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • The Clinician will provide therapeutic counselling services to individuals, adults, couples, children and families as well as undertaking mediation to reach resolution of specific disputes centred on interpersonal relationships.
  • Support the wider organisational values, ethos and mission whilst maintaining a community-centred focus within their role and service

Skills and Experience

  • Accredited education and training in psychology, social work, counselling, mental health or a similar discipline leading to a professional qualification that is recognised in Australia
  • Membership with a relevant professional body (such as AASW, APHRA, PACFA)
  • Experience and skills in provision direct of clinical services. Demonstrable experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults to address issues such as emotional and psychological trauma, anxiety, depression, life-stage issues, behavioural problems etc.
  • Demonstrable ability in implementing intervention strategies based on sound theoretical frameworks.
  • Experience and demonstrable skills in running group programmes with early intervention and wellbeing promotion focus
  • Demonstrable experience and ability in liaising and working with stakeholders such as referring agencies
  • Skills and experience in psychometric assessment of children (subject to qualifications)
  • Experience in working with couples and families within a relationship framework
  • Skills and experience in psychosocial assessment, case formulation, and intervention planning.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with:
  • People in a separation context
  • A sensitivity to the needs of people of different ethnic, linguistic, cultural, relationship orientation and religious backgrounds
  • The special needs of people with disability
