About the Role:

We are advancing and growing our capabilities by providing consultancy and diagnosis services and taking on larger and more complex projects related to structural remediation and waterproofing. To support our growth and lead our consultancy and estimation division, we are seeking a qualified and competent "Senior Remedial Engineer” with a strong experience in diagnostics and remediation of structural and building defects.

What you will be doing:

You will be primarily responsible for assessing and estimating high-rise remedial and painting projects involving the building envelop system.

Your Broad Responsibilities will include:

• Conduct site inspections to diagnose and scope for defect and prepare comprehensive reports for estimation on Strata and commercial buildings and prepare detailed remedial scopes of work.
• Collaborate with the team on construction project programming and NSW Planning Portal submissions.
• Ensure compliance with the Design and Building Practitioners Act.
• Organize and lead tender meetings, assess tenders, and manage tender processes. Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Actively seek suitable tendering opportunities and where possible develop relationships with clients.
• Provide innovative and cost-effective solutions which will complement the brand CPR have established in the market since 1993.
• Provision and delivery of quotes to owners or building managers and a detailed hand over of won projects to our project management team as per company defined processes.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of CPR’s processes and standards.

What you need to have:

The candidate we are seeking must have the following Qualifications, skills & Experience:

• Bachelor of Civil or structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Design practitioner registration under the NSW design and building practitioner ACT.
• Membership with Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project estimation, scoping and costing performed in Australia with an established company, including a track record of successfully completed projects. 
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and remedial process including but not limited to façade restoration, concrete repair, structural rehabilitation, waterproofing, cladding, windows and balustrades.
• Hands on experience estimating tenders, producing technical documents, and supporting policy formation and/or review under WHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management.
• Ability to prioritise and work effectively to estimate projects ranging from $300K to $5 million. 
• Familiarity with rope-based access methods and estimation (highly desirable).
• Proven leadership skills with a successful track record of project management, including but not limited to Façade restoration, concrete repair, structural rehabilitation, waterproofing, cladding, windows, and balustrades.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and remedial process.
• Driver’s license, vehicle (desirable), and preparedness to travel interstate if required.

• Have a pleasant outlook, client centric approach and team player with the ability to work independently as required.
• High level of communication and presentation skills to effectively work with strata owners and their associated managers.

The position will be based out of our main office in North Parramatta (NSW).
