The Kmart Digital Team is at the forefront of our online presence, driving innovation and ensuring a seamless online and mobile shopping experience for our customers. Comprising talented individuals from various disciplines, this dynamic team plays a vital role in shaping the future of retail in the digital age.

As a Quality Engineer, you will work with a cross-functional team of digital experts driving our “Marketing and Personalisation” capabilities, ensuring the quality and stability of our online shopping and digital marketing capabilities.

What you’ll be doing

Analysing user stories and requirements to understand project scope and testing needs.

Assessing and defining testing strategies and approaches based on project requirements and timelines.

Creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

Developing and executing functional automation scripts using a range of tools to ensure efficient and effective test coverage.

Performing functional and end-to-end testing across various platforms and environments to identify and report defects.

Conducting verification testing post-launch to validate the functionality and performance of released products using tools like jmeter to assess system scalability, stability, and reliability.


To be successful in this role you’ll have:

Demonstrated experience testing online ecommerce systems, including functional, performance and end-to-end testing.

Proven expertise in working within fast-paced Agile environments, adhering to best practices in iterative development cycles.

A strong focus on continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and methodologies, contributing to the evolution of quality assurance practices within the team.

Effective communication skills, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that complex testing concepts are conveyed in a clear and understandable manner.

Exposure to, and a keen interest in automation technologies, knowledge of Webdriver IO and WebScript in particular is desirable.
