Job Overview:

The Security Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive IAM solutions across the APAC region, with a focus on the Sydney office. This role requires a deep understanding of IAM technologies and practices, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient access to resources and data. The IAM Architect will collaborate with global and regional teams to align IAM strategies with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture and Design:

• Develop and architect IAM frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure secure access to systems and data.
• Design scalable and resilient IAM solutions tailored to the APAC region's specific needs and regulatory requirements.

Implementation and Integration:

• Lead the deployment of IAM technologies, including user provisioning, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and access governance.
• Integrate IAM solutions with various enterprise systems, applications, and cloud services.

Compliance and Security:

• Ensure IAM solutions comply with regional and global regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks related to identity and access management.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IAM engineers and other IT staff.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for IAM-related issues and breaches.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with regional and global IT, Security, HR, and other departments to align IAM processes with business needs.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure IAM solutions meet organizational objectives.
• Stay updated with emerging IAM technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Propose and implement improvements to IAM systems and processes to enhance security and efficiency.

Project Management:

• Manage IAM projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely and successful completion.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure effective delivery of IAM solutions.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF) are highly desirable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IAM or a related field, with a significant portion in an architectural or senior technical role.
• Proven experience with IAM tools and technologies (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Azure AD, Ping Identity).

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP) and IAM protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
• Proficiency in cloud IAM solutions (e.g., AWS IAM, Google Cloud IAM) and security best practices.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Zero Trust security models.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in the APAC region and understanding of its regulatory landscape.

Working Conditions:

• Standard office environment with flexible remote work options.
• Occasional travel within the APAC region may be required.
