We are seeking a Senior Advisor to support our Program Delivery and Operations (PDO) team. Responsible for providing executive support to the General Manager, you will ensure the provision of timely, professional and high quality liaison and executive services (including managing enquiries, correspondence, briefing material and related parliamentary business support) for the Program Delivery and Operations (PDO) Branch.

In the role of Senior Advisor (Executive Services) you will maintain a high understanding of the department's business and operations in order to provide accurate, timely and professional document management advice and support services to the General Manager (PDO).

Provide authoritative, operational advice to the General Manager (PDO), Manager (Office of the General Manager), Principal Advisor (Executive Services), and statewide networks on Executive Services, including identification and resolution of service improvement issues.

Maintain a high understanding of how state government works (including knowledge of Parliamentary and Cabinet processes and ministerial responsibilities) in order to meet divisional requirements and provide advice and education to staff.

Lead the coordination, collation and completion of reporting on progress of Cabinet Decisions and Government Election Commitments for PDO branch.

Manage processing times, quality and accuracy of departmental, external and Ministerial correspondence for the branch, including coordinating the search and retrieval of relevant documents as required.

Analyse and research issues and prepare responses and/or briefing notes for the General Manager.

Perform the role of secretariate for the PDO Leadership Team including organising meetings, room set-up, agendas and papers, minutes and actions.

Effectively manage workflow systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met in a complex and specialised environment and provide training and support on these systems where required.

Oversee branch document management and act as the initial expert reference point for correspondence coordinators, departmental and branch staff to provide authoritative, timely and professional advice on key business support processes and manage reporting processes.

Effectively represent the interests and reputation of the General Manager and the department by providing effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Identify and report on emerging issues raised by the community or other key stakeholder groups.

Actively participate in capability development activities required to perform effectively in the roles and assist other team members to develop new capabilities.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to multitask effectively in a demanding environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for liaising with stakeholders and representing the General Manager professionally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously while supporting the broader goals of PDO.
