Senior Director - First Nations health workforce
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency

We have a great opportunity for the person with the right skills, attitude and values to join our friendly team.

The Senior Director, First Nations health workforce, is responsible for designing the ACTHD’s strategic work program targeting the First Nations health workforce. This will include leading the ACTHD’s project to develop an ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Action Plan, and our response to the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Strategic Framework and Implementation Plan 2021–2031.

You will lead all aspects of these projects, including scoping, planning and delivery, in close collaboration with key stakeholders. This will involve significant engagement with the First Nations Community.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • This is a designated position in accordance with s42, Discrimination Act 1991 and is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage is considered essential and therefore a Confirmation of Aboriginality may be requested.
  • Qualifications in a health-related field are highly desirable.
  • Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
