Security (Information & Communication Technology)
As a Security Architect you will be responsible for providing expert technology advice and guidance to Business and Service Owners. You will have the chance to work across various different sector within the business, working in a complex, large scale environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Promoting the security architecture process, outcomes, and value proposition to the organisation.
- Engaging, informing, influencing, and negotiating with stakeholders to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and committed to the right security outcomes
- Complying with the organisations governance processes, to ensure stakeholders understand their role in delivery and that the required decision making, and escalation processes are in place to help achieve the required outcome
- Ensuring adherence to Enterprise methodologies and processes, such as the Project Execution Framework methodology (PEFm) and Solution Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) and provide input to develop and improve such methodologies and processes
- Experience delivering core security architecture outcomes through assessment of threats that translate into mitigating security controls and solution recommendations, that is also designed to meet compliance with information security and architecture policies & standards
- Experience in the realisation of security control capabilities such as through development, configuration, customisation, or onboarding efforts.
- Providing technical information security consulting on multiplatform IT environments and subject matter expert advice to project teams.
- Assisting the development and execution of a communication and education plan for security architecture.
- Applied knowledge of database platforms and/or public cloud services.
- Experience in the financial services industry would be highly beneficial.
- Experienced across multiple architecture domains, including the implementation of architecture in large organizations required to ensure balanced solutions.
- Proven results in delivering major business solutions into production within multiple project teams.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architect disciplines and frameworks (eg SABSA and Risk management)
- Developing leadership skills, including facilitation and mentoring.
- Strong analytical and technical skills as well as excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
