Trainer/Assessor, School of Allied Health and Human Services, IHNA

About Role:
The Trainer/Assessor at IHNA delivers high-quality training and support to students, fostering motivation and success. They collaborate with course coordinators to design, refine, and evaluate course materials, ensuring ongoing improvement. All efforts adhere strictly to standards and regulations set forth by ASQA. This commitment to compliance and quality enhancement creates an environment conducive to effective learning and student achievement.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed to fulfill the role's requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide quarterly academic and administrative support to the Curriculum Development team for creating curriculum resources.
  • Upload monthly evidence in KH for ongoing industry currency, clinical placements, and professional development activities.
  • Submit monthly reports on student engagement measures, assessment markings with constructive feedback, and maintaining a 75% student satisfaction rate.
  • Collect and report monthly feedback from facilities as per HC policy, and document support activities for students with learning difficulties.
  • Attend monthly RTO and educators' meetings, and develop two new methodologies annually to enhance program delivery.

    Key Selection Criteria:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) / equivalent or a qualification at Diploma level or higher in Adult Education
  • CHC43015 – Certificate IV in Ageing Support or above
  • CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support
  • CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability
  • Must have evidence of recent VET and Industry PD activities;
  • In-depth understanding of ASQA regulatory guidelines and standards (highly desirable).

  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one.
  • Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one.
  • Additional compensation will be provided for assessment markings when staff work extra hours from home
  • Further Education options available for all staff
  • Employee Assistant Program available for staff and students
