Phone Screening

Once we’ve identified that you have the relevant skills & experience, we’ll get in touch to have a quick 5-30min chat. This is your chance to tell us briefly about your interest in the role.

Aptitude Testing/Personality Profiling

Don’t let this scare you off. We test for 30-45mins to gain a better insight into your behavioural traits & how they intertwine with the requirements of the role.

Initial Interview

This is your time to shine It’s likely that you’ll meet for 1-1.5 hours with the Hiring Manager (who’ll be your direct manager) along with one of our Talent Acquisition team.

2nd Interview (If Required)

Depending on the role, we may look to meet up again to discuss your experience, skills & the role further.

Reference Checks

Before we can make an offer, we’ll ask you for at least 2 professional referees. We’ll then chat to them about how great you are.

Offer

We will then make a verbal offer, discuss your remuneration & confirm a start date. Congratulations

It’s here that you’ll be put through company & role specific induction programs. This will kit you up with all the necessary info & tools to help get you off to a great start.

About Us
Professional, efficient, and accomplished, Beacon Building Services (BBS) provides customers with repair and refurbishment services for both residential and commercial projects. With large teams in both Victoria and New South Wales, BBS has the ability to take on large volumes of work during peak times, all while maintaining a consistent, exceptional service. Specialising in complex repair, BBS can offer clients a solution for virtually any building issue.

About the Role
BBS has an exciting and rare opportunity available for a Site Supervisor to join the team in the Melbourne, VIC. Reporting to the Senior Management, you will administer a job from initial site setup to handover, ensuring all processes are adhered to, whilst providing on site supervision and coordination as required. This is to ensure that all clients and customers have a positive experience in their dealings with Beacon Building Services. The successful candidates’ tasks will include, however are not limited to:
  • Managing all aspects of repairs from site establishment to handover including doc management, supplier procurement, scheduling and coordinating works, client/customer correspondence, job file management and quality and safety compliance
  • Developing and communicating programs of works to all relevant stakeholders using purpose-built software
  • Procuring and coordinating all suppliers on site to ensure adherence with approved schedules and plans
  • Reviewing, actioning and approving project related documentation
  • Managing project budgets as well as supplier order/invoice reconciliation
  • Keeping customers informed, liaising with suppliers daily, promoting our company values and adhering to strict KPIs
About You
  • Bring a carpentry trade background – essential.
  • Demonstrate at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Bring transferrable experience gained in a similar role in the property repair/remedial industry. Strata remedial experience an advantage.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing remedial construction processes and methodologies.
  • Be highly organised, have strong attention to detail and can prioritise accordingly.
  • Be able to think clearly, independently and creatively under pressure.
  • Demonstrate competency with construction management software packages.
