CONCAPE is a specialised personnel service provider and is looking after a Swiss high-tech company based in the Rhine Valley, Switzerland for this vacancy.

**Workload**: 100%

**Home Office**: 2 days

As Senior Global Category Manager you will be responsible for the conception and execution of global sourcing strategies in a very exciting high-tech environment.

The categories include electromechanical parts.

Tasks

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluation of competitive "best cost" sourcing markets and partners
- Development & execution of global sourcing strategies for the assigned direct categories (locations Switzerland, Eastern Europe, Asia)
- Act as sparring partner and change agent for your internal stakeholders in the commodity groups and identify trends & action areas at an early stage
- Continuous monitoring of the performance of the material costs and supplier base with regard to cost reduction, quality as well as delivery capability and risk analysis
- International price negotiations, design of purchasing conditions and contracts for production materials
- Analysis and optimisation of existing purchasing processes in cooperation with internal stakeholders as well as processing and monitoring of the reporting system in order to guarantee compliance with purchasing and business targets.

**Requirements**:
**Talents and experience which you ideally bring with you**:

- Relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing ( 7-10 years).
- Ideally, you have already gained expertise in setting up structures and processes in an international environment.
- Experience in global matrix organisations is desirable
- Business English skills with good negotiating skills
- Pleasure in setting up, designing and structuring processes in strategic purchasing
