**Process Technologist - SLAB CASTERS - Senior (M/F/d)**

The process technologist is a key figure within the Business Unit, being fully involved in the business starting from the sales support phase, passing through the development of the process engineering during the execution phase, up to support the Site Team during the commissioning and performances, ending with the drafting of technical articles and standardization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Optimization of technological process of the slab caster in order to obtain finished products, in line with the quality standards and the production level envisaged by the contract
- Definition of the optimal parameters for the competitive sizing of casters, in team-up with the other required offices, with particular and prevailing attention to the aspects related to slab caster process and technology, to achieve the best final quality of the products processed on our caster
- Define the parameters of performance, use and productivity of the slab caster. Defining the preconditions and methods to obtain the Provisional Acceptance Test and Final Acceptance Test
- Participate in commissioning activities and production / quality improvements
- Ensure continuous improvement of the technological process through:

- Innovation of methods and processes to improve the competitiveness of plants and their automation, interfacing adequately with Danieli Automation (DA) and the Danieli Research Centre (DRC)
- Collection and analysis of plant process data for the sizing of machines and plants and for process automation and start-up in the start-up phases.
- Support the commercial team in presenting and drafting of offers through:

- definition of the technological layout of the plant
- definition of the technological parameters of the machines
- introduction of improvements deriving from the operating experience of similar plants
- participation in the main meetings with the customers to highlight/explain the technological aspects/advantages of the proposed solution.

**Technical Requirements**:

- Engineering/technical degree
- Full command of English language
- Base knowledge of Steel industry norms.
- At least 10 years of experience in the Steel industry
- At least 5 years of experience in slab casting and proven track record in steel processing studies, process simulation and project development

**Soft Skills**:

- Team spirit and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders (internal & external)
- Willingness to travel (national / international) and availability to spend some weeks for training in our HQ in Italy (Buttrio) and work in our HQ according with the workload and work schedule
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
- Self-organized way of working
- Strong communication and implementation skills

**Other**:

- We offer a competitive, attractive salary based on your experience and qualifications, with the willingness to overpay the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for metalworking industry (starting from 70.000 €/year)
