In order to strengthen our team, **we are looking for a motivated Earth Observation & Climate Change Expert (M/F/d) for managing and developing Earth Observation solutions for Climate Change mitigation, specifically in the Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) sector.**

**Your tasks as a EO Climate Change Expert**
You will manage and develop highly innovative satellite-based land monitoring products and services for Climate Change mitigation, specifically for the LULUCF sector. Your tasks address:

- Conceptualise novel monitoring solutions utilizing satellite-based land cover/use data for Greenhouse Gas accounting (CO2 sources and sinks) as well as the transformation into LULUCF activity data
- Guide the development process of products in close collaboration with our technical teams and our international customers, incl. market exploration and analysis, functional analysis of requirements and consultancy as well as technical & financial planning
- Validation of the developed solutions to prepare market entry
- Lead or contribution to development projects
- Support to proposal writing, marketing and sales
**Your strengths & competences**
- Minimum university degree (BSc), preferably in the field of natural sciences or information technology, or relevant professional working experience
- and geographic data to quantify land cover/land use and changes
- Good knowledge and experience of LULUCF activity data and emission factor calculation and relevant reporting guidelines
- Knowledge of the carbon accounting sector as well as of the creation of air pollutant and greenhouse gas inventories advantageous
- Experience in project management and leadership of teams
- Ability to mediate stakeholder interests considering both technical and business aspects
- Willingness to travel
- Strong communication skills, very good command in English
